So, if you’re a builder, tell me, how often are you approached to quote a project with nothing selected?

Zip, zero!

The budget seems well undercooked and they want to start, yep…. tomorrow?

Or are you working on a quote wondering if it is for a comparison with another builder without any selected materials, that makes your pc’s a guess……

Too many projects begin with great concepts and a good brief, only to find out the design did not fit the clients budget. Maybe the plan is bigger than necessary so quality needs to be sacrificed. This will come down to you the builder “trimming the fat”. Resulting in quantity over quality and a waste of your precious time as it turns out to be another standard, good build but nothing special.

Well I can help.

If I have an opportunity to meet with your client well before you start (or even quote), I can help them estimate on materials and joinery that are well aligned to their aesthetic goals. This way you will have an allowance which they have researched and agreed upon that will be set for you, prior to quoting. You will have the assurance, if your client shops around for other builders quotes, that they will be comparing apples with apples……… a much fairer situation for everyone.

Better yet, they’ll realise how much work is involved and I will get to work along side you and your trades, creating some beautiful custom and unique forever homes with a full set of schedules and elevations with everything selected and specified before demo starts.
